Wiley Cutler Parrish

1990 – 2022

On June 20,2022, heaven gained a treasure, and the rest of us have been left with a hole in our hearts. Wiley Cutler Parrish was born January 17,1990, and from first breath his parents knew they were in for adventures, and he lived up to that.

Wiley was everyone’s “best friend” as we’ve come to learn. He made an impact with everyone he met. His strong, tough exterior was a facade. This man would give you anything and everything, even if he didn’t have it to give.

His fellow employees at Urban Contractors will miss his encouragement, his presence, and the feeling of being part of a working family he imparted.  He was known for being mindful of safety and always watched for chances to improve operations.

He loved all things about nature; the outdoors, hunting, fishing, skiing, etc. When he set his mind on something, you were hard-pressed to get him to slow down. He was able to finish and obtain his Eagle Scout and was only a few scuba dives away from obtaining his Master Diver Certification.

Wiley came into his own in the past few years, fully embracing the title of Uncle Wiley “Wyeee”. Family will share that the true love and joy of Wiley was present at every interaction he had with his niece, Layla, and nephew, Baker.  His sister, Megan, and his Brother-in-law Jacob will cherish those memories, and mourn the ones that were yet to be had.

His parents, James and Vera, have been beyond blessed to hear stories and see photos shared from friends near and far.  We will miss lunches together and driving to look at job sites.  We will treasure more memories than we can count to continue to move us forward.

Public visitation will be held at Matthews Funeral home on Friday, June 24th, 2022, from 1:00Pm to 8:00PM. Family will be present to greet friends and guests from 5:00PM to 7:00PM that evening.

Services will be held Saturday, June 25th, 2022, at the Matthews Funeral Home Chapel beginning at 2:00PM. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Oklahoma City.

We will be live streaming this service in an effort to accommodate those people that wish to attend but feel they should not due to health regulations.  To watch the service CLICK HERE to go to our YouTube page. Click on ‘Videos’, then ‘Live Streams’.
