Valarie Eleanor Ramsey

Valarie Eleanor Ramsey

1935 – 2022

Valarie Eleanor Ramsey was born on March 28, 1935, to Vivian (Parsons) Ramsey and Lester Ramsey and died on August 22, 2022, at 87 years old.

She was a retired widow currently living in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Surviving Valarie are her friends and her family of Redeemer Presbyterian Church of Edmond, Oklahoma.

Valarie was very independent and enjoyed walking everywhere, loved to watch the old black and white Westerns on tv and she definitely had a sense of humor and a mischievous smile when she thought she was funny or getting away with something.

She was a member of Redeemer Presbyterian Church of Edmond, Oklahoma where she attended faithfully until her health no longer allowed it. At that time one of the members at Redeemer would go sit with her in the nursing home and stream the church service on her phone so she didn’t miss hearing God’s Word proclaimed and she always enjoyed the hymns and music!

Valarie had a few special friends that visited often and meant a great deal to her, her presence will be missed but we are all thankful she is at rest at Home with her Heavenly Father!

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 2nd, 2022, at Redeemer Presbyterian Church beginning at 2:00PM.

“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD forever.”
-Psalm 23: 1-6

“Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth! Serve the LORD with gladness! Come into his presence with singing! Know that the LORD, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name! For the LORD is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.”
– Psalm 100: 1-5

“Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name! Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.”
– Psalm 103: 1-5
