Sally Elizabeth Harrold
1955-2021
Sally Elizabeth Hill Harrold, age 66, of Edmond, Oklahoma, died December 7, 2021, from heart related issues. She was born to James Edward Hill and Elizabeth Atric Fay Spears Hill on May 3, 1955, in Oklahoma City. Sally was the youngest of four children. She attended Edmond schools for 12 years, graduating in 1973.
She is survived by her husband, Stephen Neal Harrold, and her two sons, Steven Michael Harrold of Madison, Alabama, and Russell Thomas Harrold of Eastaboga, Alabama. Sally was very proud of her two sons and their accomplishments and loved them dearly. Steven served on the submarine USS Philadelphia in the United States Navy and then earned a degree in Nuclear Technology. Russell also served in the Navy aboard the aircraft carrier Enterprise and then earned a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma (Boomer Sooner). She has three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Sally is also survived by three brothers, James Hill, John Hill, both of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Charles Hill of Austin, Texas.
She married Steve on June 5, 1976, in Edmond and they lived together for 45 wonderful years, a life that ended way to short.
Sally started working at Ron Stevens Ford in Edmond, Oklahoma and became the office manager before moving to New Orleans, Louisiana in1981. She loved the beignets and chicory coffee in the French Quarter. Sally and Steve moved to Dhahran, Saudi Arabia in 1992 for a job with Saudi Aramco that was meant to last 5 years but turned into 20 years of memorable life experiences. She made lifelong friendships with so many others at Aramco. The job in Saudi Arabia allowed them to travel large parts of Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. After retiring in 2012, Sally and Steve returned to Edmond, Oklahoma for the remainder of her life. She loved quiet mornings at the kitchen table sipping coffee, watching the birds at our feeders, and the deer that frequented the back yard. She will be dearly missed by all.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel Edmond, OK.
