Richard W. Siders
1950-2021
Richard W. Siders age 71 went home to be with the Lord on December 15, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, Ok. He was born December 12, 1950, in little rock, Arkansas to E. O. and Maudie Siders. He grew up in Blanchard, Louisiana and graduated from Blanchard High School. After graduation he attended Bethany Nazarene College, now SNU in Bethany, OK where he met and married his wife, Diane.
Richard was self-employed owning Able Telephone Systems for 35 years. He loved his job but also loved nature, fishing, yard work, flowers, country drives, Sci-Fi and John Wayne movies and Mexican food. He was a great handyman. He was our hero, always willing to help fix whatever he could. Richard was a very unselfish, loving husband and father. He adored his two grandsons, Edward and George.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Brenda of Arkansas. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Diane of Edmond, daughter Stacy Russell, Edmond son Jeff Siders and wife Molly, Edmond, grandsons, Edward and George, Edmond, sister Peggy Harvey, Arkansas and brother David siders of Arkansas. Richard loved the Lord and truly looked forward to the blessed hope of Heaven where he now resides.
Services will be held Monday, December 27th at the Matthews Funeral Home Chapel at 1:30pm.
