Philip Bonner Williams

Philip Bonner Williams

1947-2022

Philip Bonner Williams (74) was born September 24, 1947 in Pauls Valley, OK. Philip’s parents were Comer Morton Williams (deceased) and Mary Ruth Stirman (deceased). Philip spent the first two years of his life in Oklahoma City, OK with his parents. After a few years in OKC, the family moved to Shawnee to follow Comer’s work with the telephone company, later named Southwestern Bell. There the family grew with the addition of two more children, Philip’s brother and sister (Steve Williams and Debby Williams Bianchi from Broken Arrow, OK and Granbury, TX respectively).  In Shawnee, Philip enjoyed a great childhood all the way through high school where he graduated in 1965.  After high school Philip moved to Ada, OK to attend East Central University. At ECU Philip majored in business. While in Ada Philip met the love of his life, Deborah Ayn Parish. After just a few weeks of dating the two decided to wed and begin their journey in life together on March, 11 1967.

That journey would take the couple to Tishomingo, OK where Philip would join the family business (Parish Refrigeration & Fixture Co.) started by Deborah’s parents, Jack and Mary Parish (deceased). Philip and Deborah would both continue their schooling at ECU by commuting a few times a week from Tishomingo to Ada. During this time Phil also enlisted in the Army and later became a member of the 1245th National Guard.  The couple both successfully finished their degrees and Philip turned his attention to the family business. Over the years the business became extremely successful. Philip was a huge part of that success as he worked his way up from shop hand to Vice President over a span of 25+ years. It was during this time that Philip and Deborah welcomed their two greatest joys on this Earth, two sons, Craig (48) of Edmond, OK, and Kyle (40) of Newcastle, OK. Philip was an extremely active father who was determined to get the best out of his boys, an act that both  boys have cherished as they too have become fathers themselves.

If Philip wasn’t working, he could always be found either polishing one of his classic cars or working out in the yard, both to the finest of detail. Philip was called home to be with the Lord on July, 11 2022. Philip is survived by wife Deborah Ayn Williams (74) of Edmond, OK; Son Craig Williams and wife Jan Williams; grandsons Logan and Landon Williams; Son Kyle Williams and wife Jillian Williams; granddaughter Treslyn Williams; grandson Jaxon Williams; brother Steve Williams; and sister Debby Williams.
