Marilyn J. Fisher Long

Marilyn Joyce Fisher-Long, 92, of Oklahoma City passed away on Saturday, November 27, 2021.
Marilyn was born August 4, 1929, in Wichita, Kansas to Charles and Embaline Reynolds. She enjoyed sewing and painting as well as playing bridge with her many friends. Marilyn spent countless hours volunteering at Mercy Hospital, Baptist Hospital, and Church of the Servant. The joy of her life was spending time with her family. Marilyn bravely navigated the difficult realities of Alzheimer’s in her later years.
She is survived by her husband, Bob Long, of 20 years. As well as her son, Rob Fisher and his wife Vickie Fisher of Edmond and daughter, Sherilee Deakins of Piedmont. Her beloved grandchildren that she was so proud of were Robin Mitchell and husband Clark, Joe Fisher and wife Stephanie; Jad Deakins and wife Mandy; Brant Deakins and wife Chelsey; Shanna Allen and husband Caleb; Rebekah Ward; and Rachel Schuck. Marilyn was blessed with having an intimate relationship with her 18 great grandchildren and would have been excited to meet her newest great-great granddaughter. She is also survived by sister- in law, Kathlyn Reynolds and niece, Denise Leonard as well as many great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Embaline. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Fisher, of 44 years. As well as her brother, Bob Reynolds, her nephew Jeff Reynolds and her son-in-law, Abbott Deakins.
Marilyn loved traveling the world with her husbands and friends. Her travels including Jerusalem, many cruises, and time with family in Red River, NM. One of her greatest joys was swimming and playing with her grandchildren at Lake Tenkiller.
Marilyn, loving known as Nanaw, was greatly loved, and will be forever remembered in our hearts.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Church of the Servant United Methodist Church in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at 10:00 AM on Thursday, December 2, 2021.
