LaDona Michelle Elder

1971 – 2021

LaDona Michelle Weigl was born on July 31, 1971 in OKC and passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Saturday, December 18, 2021. She was raised in Bethany, with a strong influence from her grandparents, and graduated from Putnam City North. She attended the University of Central Oklahoma, where, as a member of the Alpha Gamma Delta sorority (Epsilon Nu Chapter), she met the love of her life, Tom. Wed on her 21st birthday in 1992, Tom and LaDona were married for 29 and a half years and through a fruitful marriage had 3 children, Hunter, Dalton and Alyxandrya; along with adopting their niece Aurum.

Beginning in 1998, LaDona found her passion for early childhood education. In 2015 she began working at Kindercare as a center director. In 2019 she became the quality advisor for Region 2 (south central) where she ensured the health, safety and quality over 8 states which included 215 centers and thousands of children. Her accolades were many, but her most rewarding work was ensuring the wellbeing, overall development and happiness of each and every child.

LaDona is survived by her husband Tom and their children, Hunter, Dalton and Celeste, Alyxandrya and Aurum. Her father Andy McFeely; her in-laws Ross and Becky Elder, along with many extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Don and Gladys Wilson; her mother Donna McFeely; her stepbrother Joey McFeely and grandmother Verna McFeely.

LaDona had a deep love for life, an intense contagious laugh and a unique sense of humor. Above all else she loved her family, as she lived her life, FIERCELY.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 15, 2022 at North Church in Oklahoma City, OK.
