June 11, 1950 – August 13, 2022
Kathy was born June 11,1950 in Oklahoma City, Ok, to Francis and Kathleen Short. She is survived by Andrea Vogel, daughter, Andrea’s husband, Tim, and their children Tanner and Ruby Vogel. Kathy was very close to her daughter Andrea and her grandchildren, Tanner and Ruby. She visited them as frequently as possible and always remembered birthdays and Christmas. They will miss her.
She is also survived by an older sister, Suzeanne Noker; one niece, Lynne McDermott and her husband, Jerome McDermott; a nephew, Gary Fowler and his wife Shalimar Fowler, and four cousins.
She attended OSU, receiving her BA in Zoology. Kathy made many lasting friendships with her OSU friends; some lasting over 54 years. They have shared many good times and have many good memories. After graduating from OSU, Kathy spent 12 months at St Francis Hospital in Tulsa getting her medical technology degree. Other than her family, Kathy’s passion was her medical career and learning new technology in the field of medicine.
She then spent the next five years in New Mexico. While in New Mexico, she enjoyed camping, snow and water skiing, backpacking, and many other outdoor activities. She left New Mexico to move back to OKC to be with her family. It was there that she met her husband, Cliff Condy and they married in 1984. In 1985, Kathy converted to Catholicism after taking classes at St John the Baptist Catholic Church. Kathy and Cliff served in several ministries there and developed a wide community of friends. Kathy truly loved to serve the Lord as a Eucharistic Minister and before she became ill, she often helped out in the Sacristy and was a great assistant to the Sacristans and Deacons.
Kathy was a member of Beta Sigma Phi International Women’s Sorority from 1977 to the present and she made and enjoyed many friendships with the other members over the years. She also developed many friends as she worked at Mercy Oncology Clinic.
Kathy was a shining star in the lives of all of her friends. Her grace, wit, and charm were always an inspiration. She will be greatly missed.
