Judy Kay Shoffstall

Judy Shoffstall, 82, passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2022, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Judy was born February 14, 1940, in Oklahoma City to O’Neil and Dora Yates. Judy and Joe Shoffstall were married on January 2, 1960, in Pauls Valley, OK. Judy and Joe shared 57 wonderful years together and especially enjoyed traveling and fishing. Judy was primarily a homemaker but also owned and operated Judy’s Onion Burger in Edmond, OK for several years. She enjoyed life to the fullest and was most passionate about the love for her family including her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Judy was an amazing cook and was most known for her famous fried chicken, Thanksgiving dressing and chocolate chip cookies. Judy will also be remembered for her love of all genres of music. Listening to and singing along to music was one of her favorite pastimes, especially Christmas carols which were her favorite.
Judy is survived by her daughter Traci McDaniel and husband Jim, son Don Shoffstall and wife Regina, grandchildren Brandon McDaniel and wife Katrina, Katelyn McGrath and husband Zac, Cassie Depee, Joe Shoffstall, Ryan Shoffstall and wife Rebecca, great grandchildren Rutledge and Titus McGrath, Ryley Godfrey, Lanie Depee, Clara Shoffstall and Connor Gordon. She is also survived by her brother Jerry Yates and wife Betty, sister Kathy John, sister Jeannie Cole and husband Robert as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Judy is preceded in death by her husband Joe Shoffstall, parents O’Neil and Dora Yates, father, and mother-in-law C.P. and Ruth Shoffstall, brother-in-law Fred John and nephew Robbie Cole.
Services will be held Wednesday, December 14th, 2022, at the Matthews Funeral Home Chapel beginning at 10:00am.
