Juanita Nadine Pearce
Juanita Nadine (Acton) Pearce, passed away peacefully at Mercy Hospital with her daughter Debbie and granddaughter Rebecca at her side on the morning of September 20, 2022, at the age of 89.
Juanita comes from a large family. She was the youngest of ten children born to Curtis Clay Acton and Amanda Elizabeth (Bost) Acton, on June 5, 1933, in Cogar, Oklahoma. As a child of the depression and of WWII, Juanita understood hard times like many of her era. Graduating from Anadarko High School in 1952, she was the first of her family to complete a formal education. She worked long and hard from childhood on the family farms and through various jobs to build a different future. A woman made from consequence; she always learned the lessons life dished out. After 42 years of perfect attendance at Southwestern Bell, Juanita retired into tending her gardens and flower beds. She kept busy with part time work in an elementary school kitchen and as an operator at two hospitals.
But much of her time before and after her retirement was spent in loving devotion of her family.
Juanita is survived by her sole remaining sibling, elder sister Helen Flanary and family, son Allen Ricky Pearce and family, and daughter Deborah Ann (Pearce) Cost and family. From her surviving family, Juanita also loved many nieces and nephews and their families, seven grandchildren, and twenty-two great-grandchildren.
Juanita’s passage to eternal life with her Heavenly Father is preceded by her parents, seven older brothers, an elder sister, and nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren. May they find their spiritual reunion blessed and ordained by God for all eternity. Amen!
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at Stonegate Cumberland Church in Edmond, Oklahoma, beginning at 10:00 a.m. A graveside service will be held at Memory Lane Cemetery in Anadarko, Oklahoma, where Juanita will be interred with her parents CC and Lizzie Acton and brothers Guy and Doyne at 2:00 p.m.
