Jeffrey Blaine Noble
1953 – 2021
Jeffrey Blaine Noble passed away on December 25, 2021, in Edmond, OK. He was born on November 14, 1953, in Great Bend, KS to Charles and Cora Lee (Patsy) Soles Noble. Since his father was an Engineer for an oil and gas company, Jeff lived in Texas, California, Colorado, and Nevada before settling in Tulsa, Oklahoma his senior year in high school.
Jeff graduated from Tulsa Memorial High School in 1972 where he met his lifelong friend, Steve Peake. Jeff graduated with a bachelor’s in accounting with distinction from The University of Oklahoma in 1976 and with a Juris Doctorate from OU in 1979. At OU he was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity. His love for OU continued with his passion for OU football, rarely missing a game.
Jeff was a Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Old Republic Title Company of Oklahoma until his retirement in 2020 after 39 years. Jeff was a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association and the Oklahoma Land Title Association. He was past chairman of the Real Property Section of the Oklahoma Bar Association and past president of the Oklahoma Land Title Association. Jeff loved his work, which he referred to as “dirt law.”
Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Charles Noble. He is survived by his mother, Patsy DeLong of Tulsa, his wife Ceci (Mary Catherine) Noble, daughters Erin Honan and partner Chris Matonti of Oklahoma City and Allison Miller and husband Jason Koebele of Owasso. He is also survived by his grandchildren Riley Honan, Caroline Miller, and Campbell Miller.
Jeff’s wit and sense of humor will be missed. He loved spending time at the lake with his family and friends. He started sailing with his dad when he was young, then spent weekends at Lake Tenkiller. Later he loved pulling his grandkids on a tube across the lake. His fishing trips with his best friends were among his favorite times. He certainly had a life well lived.
Funeral services will be held at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church in Oklahoma City on Monday, January 10th at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to the Alzheimer’s Association at Alz.org.
