James Thomas Erickson

James Thomas Erickson passed away Saturday, March 12, 2022. James was born on April 13, 2001 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He graduated from Oklahoma Christian Academy in May of 2020.
James is preceded in death by (Grammy) Marcella Erickson, (Grandmother) Hilda Patterson, (Great-grandmother) Ginger Patterson and Aunt Dianne Turenne. He is survived by his parents, LaTonya and Karl Erickson, his God mother, Prisscilla Whitener, his grandparents, Tommy Jay Patterson, Carrie Moore, and Jim Erickson, his great grandfather, Tommy Joe Patterson, his aunts, JoAnn Patterson and Samantha Robles, an Uncle Scott Turenne, his great aunts, Jeanne Patterson, Randa Brooks, and Sandra Bradshaw and his great uncles, John Brooks, Clint Patterson and James Bradshaw.
James was passionate about music and shared his dreams of a rock band with his family and friends. He had tremendous talent as a guitarist and songwriter. He was also an avid gamer and loved playing video games. He was one of the happiest people to be around and always brought a smile to everyone’s face. James loved to spend time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by anyone whoever had the joy of meeting him. James has officially graduated to the highest level.
A public visitation will be held Sunday, March 20th 2022, from 2:00PM to 6:00PM at Matthews Funeral Home with family present to greet friends and guests.
Services will be held Monday, March 21st 2022, at 2:00PM at the Community Church of Guthrie, 512 E Seward Rd, Guthrie, OK 73044. Interment is to follow at Waterloo Cemetery, Edmond, OK.

He attended Oklahoma Christian Academy in Edmond, Oklahoma. A memorial fund is set up there for donations in lieu of flowers.
