Greta Ann Sivard

1937 – 2022

Greta Ann Sivard peacefully passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2022. Greta was born in Whittier, California on February 11, 1937. She is preceded in death by parents Loyd and Margaret Bourne, husband RG Sivard and daughter Lesley Sivard. She is survived by brothers Ronald Bourne and RW Bourne, sisters Etta Basinger and Bonnie Dayton, 3 children Nakita and Wade Sheppard, Karie Skipper, and Kyle and Jayne Sivard, 12 grandchildren and numerous great grands.

After the unexpected death of her husband, Greta single handedly finished raising her 4 children while transitioning from homemaker to breadwinner. She retired from the State of Oklahoma and had a comfortable lifestyle near her family in Edmond. A long-time believer in Jesus Christ, she attended the First Baptist Churches in Harrah and Edmond. While her health had been declining for some time, she was determined not to be a burden on her family. Up until her death she lived alone caring for her own needs with the family providing help with doctor visits and grocery shopping. Grammy will be missed by all her family.

Public visitation will be held Monday, December 5th, 2022, at Matthews Funeral Home from 5:00PM to 8:00PM with family present.
