Greg D. Wanzer
Greg D Wanzer went to be with the Lord on December 16, 2022.
Greg’s love of sports were a huge part of his life, from grade school to his continued loyalty to the Indianapolis Colts. Sports Greg played included baseball, basketball and soccer, which turned out to the love of his life. Soccer took him to places that only kids dream about in their life time. His teams traveled to multiple locations all over the United States and ultimately landed them a spot in the World Cup playoffs. His teammates interacted with players from countries all over the world. And surprisingly enough, an Edmond team brought home a 2nd place trophy, shocking several teams from all over the country. Truly a dream come true.
Greg was a creative child throughout his life time from Graphic Arts (of all kinds), photography (gallery hangings to grade school pictures) to tattoos. I guess you really did pick a degree that fit your life and personality, what an achievement. Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design and minor in photography: Central State University
Greg, your compassion for others hurting in areas no one wants to see has touched lives that are forever grateful to your kind heart and understanding of how we are not perfect, only human. Thank you for opening my eyes and heart to the reality in which others experience that many don’t’ understand.
Our time here on earth is just a blink on earth compared to where you are now. I can’t wait to see you again.
Greg is survived by his mother, Ramona Dumler (Brian) and Father Don Wanzer, his sisters Stacy Phillips (Kenneth) Whitney Bryen (James) and Tarryn Barnes (Andrew) and nieces and nephews, Austin, Madison, Braxton and Kelby Phillips and Peyton and Logan Barnes. Grandmother Mary Ann Pinson and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his Grandfather Olin A Wanzer, Grandmother Wanda L Wanzer and Grandfather Bill F Pinson.
