Fred “Trey” Keys, III
1975-2022
Trey Keys was born to Fred and Barbara Keys on January 22nd, 1975, in Chelsea, OK. He passed on March 3rd, 2022, in his home, knowing that he was surrounded by loved ones and was going to meet Jesus. Trey was a son, brother, husband, stepdad, son-in-law, uncle, and a great friend. He simply was the best of the best. Trey always had a new joke and would leave you with a smile. Many of us know he was the life of the party, a stranger to no one and would fill a room with laughter. Trey spent his life doing many things he loved which included training horses, working in the oilfield, sales and landscaping. He lived more life in 47 years than many of us will in 80.
Trey started and ended life in Oklahoma an in between he spent time in Arkansas, Illinois, Texas and Wyoming. He had a love for animals and spending time with family and friends. Trey enjoyed hobbies such as shooting guns, leather crafting, bowling, pigeon racing, playing guitar and so much more. Trey had a big heart and would give the shirt off his back for anyone, he accepted you for who you are and welcomed everyone. Trey lived his life doing things that made him happy. He didn’t care about money, social status or materialistic things. Instead, he cared about making memories with those he loved. Simply put, he was too good for this world.
Trey Keys is survived by his wife Tyana, kids Bryce and Ashtyn, mother Barbara, uncle Alvin Lynn, Aunt Linda, his brother Chris and sister in law Ann, sister Lisa, his niece and nephew Hillary and Scott.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Matthews Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 11, 2022 at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel Edmond, OK.
