Don Tremayne Brown
1943 – 2022
Don passed away peacefully at the age of 78 on Monday, May 16, 2022, at Integris Hospital in Oklahoma City.
He was born on June 1, 1943, in Kenton, Tennessee to Abner and Minnie Ann (Weatherly) Brown. He grew up in Choctaw Oklahoma. He graduated from Central High School in Oklahoma City.
After many years in Automobile Sales, he went to work for United Engines as Allison Transmission Salesman. He retired after 25 years of service.
His interests included Bowling in his younger years, and he became an avid golfer in the early 80’s. He and Mary have been members of River Oaks Golf Club since 2002 and have enjoyed playing hundreds of rounds of golf together and enjoyed sharing each other’s “hole in ones”.
He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Mary Beth. Mary’s daughter Stephanie Robinson of OKC, and Don’s children, son Don Brown, Jr., of Luther, Ok. and daughter Dana Brown and Lisa of Bullhead City, Arizona. One grandson, James Eric, and Latosha Brown, and 4 great grandchildren. Brother, Jim Lee, and wife Diana of OKC. He is also survived by an extended family of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins. He was preceded in Death by his parents Abner Brown and Minnie Ann Lee.
The memorial service for Don will be Friday, May 20, 2022, at 2:00pm. At Matthews Funeral Home 601 S. Kelly Ave., Edmond, OK 73003.
