Chad Edward Proffit
1978 – 2022
Chad was born on October 12th, 1978 in Oklahoma City to Eddie and Gloria Proffit. He was a graduate of Edmond Memorial High School, Class of 1997. During high school, he was usually found winning on the baseball fields and basketball courts. After high school, he went on to play baseball at both Dodge City Community and Rose State Colleges.
After college, Chad started his career as everyone’s favorite bartender turned salesman. After many years in sales, he became a proud partner in Capstone Estates where he built beautiful homes and made lasting friendships with his clients.
Chad was married to the love of his life, Kelly (Miller) Proffit on May 5, 2006. They would start their family in Edmond, Oklahoma. Together, they built memories with their children, Paxton and Palmer Proffit. Chad was his happiest traveling state to state watching Paxton play baseball, standing front row at Palmers cheer competitions, and being with his friends on the golf course.
Chad is survived by his wife Kelly, son Paxton, daughter Palmer, his parents Eddie and Gloria Proffit, sister Casi Sawyer and her husband Bryan, nephew Aden, niece Addison and his uncle Dale Barnes. He was always smiling and filling everyone’s life with love and laughter.
Services will be held Friday February 25, 2022 at Edmond Church of Christ beginning at 2:00PM.
