Afsaneh Missaghi
1959 – 2023
Afsaneh Missaghi was born on March 21, 1959 in Shiraz, Iran. She was born to Abdulhosain and Safa Khanom Missaghi. She was the youngest (and feistiest) of 4 children. When she finished high school, she moved to the United States to be with her brother. She always loved children so she became licensed, and worked in schools and babysat for a living. She loved her job so much, that many of the kids she watched still keep in contact with her. She got married, had 1 child, and 3 grandsons. In 2008 she was diagnosed with breast cancer and fought amazingly for 15 years. She finished her battle with cancer on January 10, 2023. Afsaneh was known for her beautiful smile and happy personality. She was a light in the darkness. The world lost a special daughter, sister, mother and grandmother. We love and miss you very much. Graveside services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 14, 2022 at Gracelawn Cemetery, Edmond, Oklahoma.
