I started working with HJ in 1972 in Ashland Ma. We continued our careers in Tulsa Ok. and Tampa FL.. I went to college for 4 years to become a mechanical engineer and knew almost nothing about mechanical engineering and then I met HJ. I learned so much from him and will always remember him for helping me become a successful engineer. We worked on many projects together and traveled together as we went into the field to implement them. Traveling with HJ was as rewarding as working with him as he often encouraged me to go aout an see the local sites. Our professional careers eventually parted ways as he retired and I started my own business in the engraving industry. We kept in touch and I am very grateful we got to see HJ and Ann in 2007 while Kathy and I were on a motorcycle trip that took us through Oklahoma City. We have a wonderful steak dinner and visit with them. Everyone that met HJ became a friend of his. I am glad I was one of them.

Mrs. Meyer and family,
I was saddened to hear of HJ’s passing. My condolences to you and your family.
HJ and I began working at Reflectone in Tampa, Florida on the same day in 1985. I was a test engineer at the time. HJ and I shared a few assignments. We would work through issues, resolving problems and preparing the simulator equipment for customer recheck.
The last seven or so years that we worked together, I was in electrical engineering. HJ and I were teamed on a few simulator programs. He was a very talented engineer and I enjoyed working with him. He influenced me to be more thorough. I truly felt I had achieved success when HJ would scrutinize my design and I provided satisfactory responses to his questions.
I will keep HJ in my prayers, as I will you Mrs. Meyers.
Sincerely,
Robert Mc Carthy
