Henry George Slosky, 72, best known as George to friends, Georgious to those he loved, died unexpectedly in his home in Edmond, Oklahoma on April 18, 2018.
Born November 2, 1945 in Oklahoma City the son of the late Frances Slosky and Ernest Henry Slosky. George was a lifetime resident of Oklahoma. With passionate love, he married Debbie Lester Slosky on March 5th, 1983 in Oklahoma City. He served as the Chief Architect for the State of Oklahoma Department of Tourism for 32 years, most recently, overseeing the Lake Murray Lodge project.
George served with the Life Church Loop Ministry and cherished the relationships with staff and growing alongside the wonderful young people. With his family he served with Samaritan’s purse in ongoing disaster relief. We know our Georgious is safe and whole in the arms of our Lord and Savior, glorified in the promise of eternal Life. We grieve our loss and celebrate his life!
George is survived by his wife of 35 years, the love of his life, Debbie Lester Slosky and his children Joseph Henry Friday and wife Tabitha Friday, Amy Elizabeth Ratliff Turner and husband Brandon Turner, Tammi Slosky Kollinger and husband Ross Kollinger, Paul Ratliff and fiancé Shelly Waynick, and everyone’s favored child Ashley Slosky and her very special young man, Nathan Tanksley. The loving grandfather of Alex Garrett Ratliff, 16, Olivia Kollinger, 14, John Friday, 11, Sophie Ann Kollinger, 10, Paisley Rain Ratliff, 6, Henry Friday, 21 months, and would have soon had the privilege of adding Shelly’s children, Jessi Penix, 20, Anna Penix, 17, and Josh Penix, 15, to his family.

George embraced everything with immeasurable passion. His hugs, His love of family, the love of his God and Father, and His love of knowledge.
