Born February 5, 1927 in Ponca City, OK to Earl J. and Helen Deardorf Jones she left her earthly life on August 7, 2016 surrounded by her immediate family and friends after a short illness.

Helen Jeanne grew up in Ponca City, OK. She moved with her family to Moore, OK where in 1940 while in the ninth grade she met Doyle Peachee. From that day forward they would be inseparable. Helen graduated from Moore High School in 1944. Helen and Doyle married on December 31, 1945. They enjoyed 69 ½ years of marriage until Doyle’s death in 2015. Helen Jeanne worked for travelers Insurance from 1945-1955. To this union one daughter was born.

In 1956 Helen and Doyle moved to the Deer Creek Community west of Edmond, OK where they operated a successful farm and dairy.

Helen Jeanne served the Deer Creek Community as a member of the local election precinct. During her daughters high school years, she served two terms as the President of Deer Creek Band Boosters organization. Helen Jeanne was committed to her family. Her favorite name was MeeMa. She loved and adored her grandsons and great grandchildren.

Helen Jeanne was proceeded in death by her husband and parents. She is survived by her daughter Melissa (Mark) Briscoe of Edmond, grandsons Capt. Jason G. Briscoe (Dena), Upatoi, GA., Christopher P Briscoe, Oklahoma City, two great grandchildren Grant and Kylie Briscoe, Upatoi, GA. One sister Peggy Schwartz of Oklahoma City as well as sister in laws Joy Massey and Sharolyn (Leon) Wilson.

Services will be held at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 13th with interment at Resthaven Cemetery in Oklahoma City.
