Harold F. Fisher of Edmond, OK, was born on December 17, 1934 in Steubenville, OH and went to be with the Lord on August 29, 2013. He was the fourth of five children born to John and Bessie Fisher. After graduating from John Marshall High School in Oklahoma City in 1953, he attended Central State College where he met Phyllis Dresser and they married in 1955. They shared 58 years of marriage and raising their family. He worked for Lucent Technology for 32 years and in 1989 he founded a church “Melody of Praise.” This was one of the happiest times of his life, ministering the love of God to others. In 2009, he and Phyllis moved to Edmond. Later they attended the Edmond Church of God and fell in love with all the people there. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Jack and Ralph. Harold is survived by his wife, Phyllis Fisher; children, Randy Fisher and wife Debbie of Yukon, OK, Terri Kimberling and husband Robert of Edmond and Corby Fisher and wife Sherri of Edmond; grandchildren, Shannon and Angela Newby, Chad and Kelsey Fisher, and Blake and Cameron Fisher. He is also survived by a sister, Rose MacAfee; brother, Warren Fisher; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Memorial services for Harold will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, 9/4/13 at the Edmond Church of God, 1005 N. Broadway, Edmond, OK 73034 with Pastor Chad Bernard officiating. Donations may be made to the Edmond Church of God or Cancer Research in memory of Harold Fisher. Services are under the direction of Matthews Funeral Home, Edmond.
