Greg L. Dean
November 22, 1956 – December 28, 2014
Gregory Lynn Dean of Edmond, Oklahoma, passed from our lives on Dec. 28, 2014. Greg was born on Nov. 22, 1956, in Duncan, Oklahoma, to Leonard Dean and Lois Jaunell Graves.
He graduated from Duncan High School in 1975. He then went on to work in the oil industry. He married his “love at first sight” wife, Elaine Bradley, of Marlow, Oklahoma, on September 28, 1978. While living in Scotland and working in the North Sea, the pride of his life, his son, Colby Lynn Dean, was born on July 7, 1983. After moving back to the states, Greg and his family settled in Edmond, Oklahoma. Greg’s ambition drove him to begin two businesses; Dean-Lively Gallery and Homeworks Inspections Services, where he had the blessed opportunity to work each day with his son Colby, which he always said was the greatest time of his life. He loved to travel and was an avid Scuba diver.
Greg was preceded in death by his grandmother Lois Lively Cerney, his grandfather Arley Lively, and his father Leonard Dean. He is survived by his wife and son, Elaine Dean and Colby Dean, both of Edmond, Oklahoma, his Mother Lois Jaunell Graves of Duncan, his sister Marsha Moore of Duncan, and his sister Deborah Harrison of Rush Springs, along with extended family members.
There will be a visitation held at Matthews Funeral Home in Edmond, Oklahoma, on Tuesday, December 30, 2014, from 5pm-7pm. Funeral services will be on December 31, 2014, 10am, at Eastside Church of Christ in Duncan, Oklahoma. The burial will be in The Duncan Cemetery.
