Glennette Hutchinson, aged 60, of Edmond, OK, passed away on May 26, 2024, in Oklahoma City, OK after a brief illness. She was born on January 12, 1964, in Shawnee, OK.

Glennette was a steadfast but endlessly kind and caring woman who loved her friends and family fiercely. She is survived by her husband Robert Hutchinson, daughter Katie Hutchinson, son-in-law Jared Milford, brother Danny Coursey, sister-in-law Becky Coursey, niece Diane Dempsey, nephew Shea Coursey, brother Terry Coursey, sister-in-law Theresa Coursey, nephew Terry Glenn Coursey, and niece Tera Coursey. She was preceded in death by her mother Claudette Coursey, father Glenn Coursey, uncle Daniel Coursey, and uncle Emmitt Coursey.

Glennette dedicated her career to education, working as a pre-K teacher at the United Methodist Church in Edmond before spending the last 17 years at Summit Middle School. She was recently honored as Support Staff of the year and achieved certification as a paraprofessional after passing her “first test in 30 years.”

A visitation will be held from 1-7 p.m., Thursday, May 30, 2024 at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel. Family will be present to greet friends from 5-7 p.m.

Memorial services will be held at Temple Baptist Church in Shawnee, OK on Monday, June 3rd, 2024 at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations may be made to the American Stroke Association and Edmond Public Schools to aid in the relief of student lunch debt.

      Glennette will be missed.
My son Andy enjoyed fixing items around their house for them. She prepared a nice meal and invited him to eat with her and her husband Bob . He enjoyed the food she prepared and could not say anything but good about her.
