Goodbye my dear and loving sister. Too soon were you taken from us. But many are the memories of the childhood we shared together and so many important moments throughout both of our lives. I wish now that I could have been a more faithful brother, but I have loved you always and suffered with you through your struggles, of which you bore more than should have been your share. I will remember and cherish our bond, and I will hold you in my thoughts forever.
So again a last goodbye. May flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.
To the family of my dear friend, Gladys Hunt. So sorry for your loss. Gladys and I were longtime friends from our elementary school days. She left an awesome legacy for us to follow. She and I corresponded regularly in our retirement life.
I will miss her greatly, and will always remember her as a true and faithful friend. She is in a better place. Be strong and be ready to meet the Lord and we can meet her there. Praying for God to comfort you all.
My beautiful, kind, sister lived her life with grace and dignity. Our mother always told us to “make the most of what you have” and Gladys lived her life doing exactly that.
Gladys, I loved you so very much. You were always exceedingly good to me and I will forever cherish the memories.
A fond and final farewell to my sweet sister Gladys. I miss you.
I miss the long phone calls we had talking about everything under the sun and reliving memories from our childhood in New Mexico as well as events in our adult lives. Those memories are precious and will stay with me forever.
I miss the genuine love and concern that you always showed me as my big sister. And your little brother already misses the solid rock that you always were in my life. It’s unbelievable that you’ve left us. And it certainly was way too soon.
A sentiment of faith expressed by your daughter is one that I also share. It reflects an image of you now “dancing on the streets of glory.” What a fitting reward for your unwavering faithfulness, Gladys.
Farewell until we meet again.
Gladys, Johnny texted me of your sudden passing. I regret us not keeping in touch the last few years. We always had such fun together as young girls – dressing the cats and kittens – then later corresponding as teens and adults. Many fond memories I’ll hold on to. I love you my sweet friend and sister in the Lord. Until we meet again.
From the younger years when we shared a room an slept in the same bed to one of the last texts that we shared when you called me “dear sister” you were everything a big sister should be.
Thanks for all the prayers, the shared wisdom, the laughs, the recipes, the loving thought you put into every gift you gave, your open home even when I stayed too long. In other words thanks for being you.
You taught me to quilt and I will never sew another quilt without thinking of you.
You were always there for me and l cannot believe that you are gone.
I hope you know how much I loved you! I will miss you every day until I see you again!
