George was most passionate about loving his family and people experiencing the love & healing from Jesus Christ. He never met a stranger! A true hero, our Dad Commander George Shaw, US Navy (Ret.) served in the Korean War and loved his country, the United States of America! A great advocate of education and music, he started the Peggy M. Spence Endowed Piano Scholarship at the University of Central Oklahoma as well as donating a Steinway grand piano. His heart was for everyone to have a bright and happy future. He loved to fly, read a library of books, drive his fast cars, enjoy a fine martini and watch a good game of sports. He was always a gentleman; charming, kind, wise, gracious and so generous.
He was full of life & wonder and his eyes always sparkled with joy! We will miss him so but all of Heaven rejoices as one of Father God’s favorites has returned Home.

  1. My dad would have been first in line to greet George! How he cherished his friendship. I loved it when George stopped by on my many visits with my dad in Bethany. The two of them together had so many tales to tell! I know his family is grieving the loss of his presence in this life; what a glorious hope we share, that he will greet us one day again!

  2. Buddy Shaw is the good buddy in hi school in Conway, AR -we graduated from hi school same year, were in the same Boy Scout troop 71 and did lots of things as hi-schoolers do- from camping down at ‘Quapaw’ to double dating from the teen town weekly dance night–just a great guy for a buddy–Bob
