George Emigh, 89, died April 27, 2015 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born February 18, 1926 to George Francis Emigh and Emily Elizabeth Cope Emigh.

He was a WWII veteran of the Army and spent the following 8 years in the Navy. He met and married the love of his life, Willie Flavil Miller, in 1956 while stationed in Memphis, TN. He spent his career as a technical writer and loved to play the fiddle. George and Willie spent most of their years together in Sarasota, FL, then moved to Edmond, OK in 2006. George served in various church ministries and as a deacon until 1976. He loved to make us laugh, and he was kindhearted and devoted to his wife and family.

George was preceded by his wife of 55 years, Willie Flavil, his parents George and Emily, his siblings Kenneth, Lyle, Alan, Eve and Barbara. He is survived by his son George Langdon (Nellie) of Venice, FL, a daughter Karen (David) Escobar of Sarasota, FL, a daughter Emily (Jerry) Stubblefield of Edmond, OK, and grandchildren Scott Stubblefield of Tampa, FL, Geordon Emigh of Venice, FL, Kevin Stubblefield of Edmond, OK, Kyle Escobar of Tampa, FL, Kelly Escobar of Sarasota, FL, and Sarah Stubblefield and Dylan Stubblefield, both of Edmond, OK.

Public graveside services will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday April 29 at Gracelawn Cemetery in Edmond, OK.
