Geneva Eiland went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Feb. 24th, 2021, at her home in Edmond, Oklahoma.  She was born January 23, 1930, to Samuel and Maud Lane, in her parent’s home in Balko, Oklahoma.  She attended Bethany schools and went to Oklahoma Baptist University for two years.  She married Don Eiland on November 18, 1951, at The First Baptist Church Balko, Oklahoma.  She had 5 children, Sam Eiland and wife Retta of Rolla, Kansas, Melba Friend of Oklahoma City, JoDona Powell of Spring, Texas, Corby Eiland and Rick Eiland of Edmond, Oklahoma.  Geneva has 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.  She has one living sister, Edith Zongker of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.  She was preceded in death by her husband Don, parents Samuel and Maud Lane, sister LaVaun Smith, and brother Johnny Lane.  Geneva was a member of The First Baptist Church of Edmond. When she was a member of the Balko Baptist Church, she taught young girls Sunday School class and also Girls Auxiliary. Before moving to Edmond, she retired from the Beaver County District 3 as secretary.  Geneva was the sweetest, kindest, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend anyone could ever have. Geneva loved to send letters and cards to her family and friends, and she loved basketball and enjoyed watching the OKC Thunder.  Geneva most of all was faithful to her Lord Jesus Christ.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Balko Baptist Church, Rt. 2 Box 44A, Balko, OK 73931 or to Bethany Cemetery, Balko, OK.

Visitation will be held from 12-8 p.m., Monday, March 1st at Matthews Funeral Home with family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at Balko Baptist Church with interment to follow at Bethany Cemetery in Balko, OK.
