Frederick Harrison Turner

Fred was born in West Frankfort, IL, to Frederick Arthur and Mary Turner. He went to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, July 15, 2017. He retired from the Army as a Chief Warrant Officer, W-4, helicopter pilot. He also retired after a career with Xerox Corporation in both Oklahoma and Texas. After Xerox, he worked for Southland Corporation in Dallas until his early 80s. He and his wife of 64 years, Jeri, finally retired in Moore, OK. Fred loved his Lord, his country and his family.
He is survived by his wife, Jeri of Edmond; his daughter, Melody Turner of Lawton, OK; son, Kevin Turner and wife Judith of Edmond, OK; daughter, Kathy Bell of Kingfisher, OK; son, Kent Turner and wife Micki of Warrenton, VA; son, Keith Turner and wife Kathy of Edmond, OK; Anthony Turner of Dallas, TX; son Keary and wife Patty of Flower Mound, TX; as well as twelve grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and a nephew, Steve Deno of Dodge City, KS. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Mary, son Christopher and daughter, Candace.
The interment service will be held at Fort Sill National Cemetery on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Fred made the world a better place. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. If you would like to make a memorial donation in Fred’s honor, please do so to an Alzheimer’s research organization of your choice.
Keary, even though we never knew your father, we know he was a a great contributor to our country, your family and his community. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
