Ethel “Norene” Ferguson, age 97, of Edmond, Oklahoma passed away on January 13, 2025.

Norene was born October 23, 1927, to W. R. Weathers and Ethel (Saxon) Weathers on a farm North of Edmond.

Norene graduated from Edmond High School in 1946; married Richard Ferguson with whom she shared three children, Anthony, Cynthia, and Rodney.

Norene made quilts, spoiled grandchildren and great grandchildren and had a love of cats.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard Ferguson, daughter Cynthia K Tidball and granddaughter Gayla K. Tidball. As well as her sisters, Helen Weathers, Ruth Maker, and brother Herman Weathers.

She is survived by her sons Anthony (Kim) Ferguson and J. Rodney (Cheryl) Ferguson, and son in law Gary Tidball, Sr. Norene is also survived by her grandchildren Mark Ferguson, David (Deanne) Ferguson, Lisa (Aaron) Dudzik, Gary (Melissa) Tidball, Jr., Ryan (Stefanie) Ferguson, Riley (Karris) Tackett and her great-grandchildren Brandon Martinez, Bryan Martinez, Alaina Dudzik, Rowan Ferguson, Alex Ferguson, Trevor Tidball, Trinity Tidball, Beverly Ferguson, Michael Ferguson, Kamden Tackett, Kooper Tackett and George T. Tackett. As well as brothers Carl Weathers and Richard Weathers of Edmond, Oklahoma, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 16, 2025 from noon to 8:00 p.m.. Family will be present to receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m..

Services will be held Friday, January 17, 2025, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the Matthews Funeral Home Chapel in Edmond, OK. Interment will take place following the service at Gracelawn Cemetery in Edmond, OK.
