Edith Jane Forrester
1921-2018
EDITH JANE FORRESTER, 96, was born in New Albany, Indiana on December 24th, 1921. She passed from this life on December 18th, 2018. Coincidentally her beloved mother, “Danny” died on this same date 32 years ago. From the time Jane entered Mercy Hospital early last Saturday morning until her final moment four days later she was surrounded by her family.
Jane is survived by her children, Larry, Bob and Jan. Daughters-in-law, Judy and Marilyn Dobson, and son-in-law, Robert Bettis. Grandchildren, Todd, Tim, Amanda, Anna Jane, Jeremy, Jeff and Jamae. Grandchildren-in-law, Risa, Luke, Chris, Debbie, Kelley and Terry. And last but certainly not least, 15 beautiful great grandchildren.
Her two greatest heartbreaks in life were the loss of her youngest son, Mark, 17 years ago and the loss of her cherished loving husband and soul-mate of 72 years, Bill. The three of them are rejoicing together today.
A celebration of Jane’s amazing life will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 22nd, 2018 at the Wilshire Church of Christ on 400 East Wilshire Blvd. Oklahoma City, OK 73105.

I so loved my Auntie Jane, she was always there for the good and the bad with all of us. The thought of no more cheek pinching from her (she did this all my life when she saw me) is just one of the things I am going to miss about her. I was not blessed to be around her for years now, and was hoping that when I head that way in late January or early February that I would be able to spend a few days with her. She is going to be missed so very much by so many. I know she is with Uncle Bill, Mark, Danny and many more family members where she is now and she is rejoicing to be home with them again. She is the lucky one as we on earth morn her leaving us.
