Edgar Jackson Clark, 93 former longtime resident of Ponca City passed away March 6, 2016. Jack was born December 18, 1922 to Albert P. and Myrtle Clark in Morrison, Oklahoma. He was one of eight children. He married Lila Robinson on March 4, 1945. Of this marriage came two children, Albert and Jan.

Jack proudly served his country as a Marine during WWII, in the Navy during the Korean War, and the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He served a total of thirty-three years. He retired a Master Sergeant from the Air Force. Jack retired from Conoco in Ponca City in 1983, after twenty-five years of dedicated service. During retirement he enjoyed traveling with his wife Lila, playing golf, bowling and tinkering in his garage.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his seven siblings, his wife Lila and son Albert.

Jack is survived by his daughter and caregiver Jan Clark, granddaughter Staci and Carson VanZant, great grandchildren who are his pride and joy Lila and Clark VanZant, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 10:00a.m. Thursday, March 10 at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel in Edmond, Oklahoma. A committal service will follow at 3:00p.m. at Rest Haven Cemetery in Ponca City, Oklahoma.
