1943-2017
Eddie Joe Tarman, age 73, of Edmond Oklahoma, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Friday January 20, 2017.
He was born on April 19, 1943 to Thelma & Edwin in Wichita, Kansas.
Joe attended Tulsa University and received a degree in Petroleum Engineering in 1966. Throughout his life, he was an avid reader and self-taught in many subject areas, including natural health, 12 step program, economics, Mary’s apparitions and Medjugorje, baseball and mental health. Then he would proceed to teach his children and anyone who would listen. Joe bought multiple copies of his favorite books to share with all his kids.
Joe married Dolores Doornbos on July 3, 1965 and they had 8 children, Timothy, Stephanie, Melanie, Benjamin, Jonathan, Samuel, Christina and Nicole.
Joe worked as an engineer in the oil industry including water flooding, offshore production and consulting until 1989. When the oil industry declined, he had several jobs and did whatever it took to support his family, including Waste Water Treatment.
Joe lived and breathed sports through his children and grandchildren. He wanted to attend any event they participated in as well as coaching his own children and grandchildren in a variety of sports. He would sacrifice anything for his family. He literally gave the boots off his feet, the money out of his pocket, and the clothes off his back.
Joe is survived by his wife Dolores Tarman
