Earl Lynn McAnelly
1931-2016
Earl Lynn McAnelly passed away on July 28, 2016, at home in Edmond, Oklahoma. He was 84 years old.
Earl was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on December 27, 1931 to Earl Linden McAnelly and Wanita Maude (Johnson) McAnelly.
After graduating from Central High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Earl attended Oklahoma A&M College. Before graduating, he honorably served his country in the Army for three years. Following his military service, he returned to Oklahoma A&M College. While attending school, Earl met Lucille (Willis) McAnelly. They married on April 3, 1954. Earl earned his degree graduating from Oklahoma A&M College in 1956. After graduation, Earl began his career with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, later AT&T, where he worked until his retirement in 1990.
Earl is survived by his wife, of 62 years, Lucy; daughter Linda (McAnelly) Overfield (husband Stephen and son Ryne); daughter Susan (McAnelly) Hawkins (husband John, son Sean, and daughter Alyssa); son Michael McAnelly (daughter Brittany and son Riley).
Services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, August 1, 2016 at Matthews Funeral Home, with interment to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma at 3:00 PM.
