Dr. Lowell Cordel Lenhart
1940 – 2024

Dr. Lowell Cordel Lenhart, age 84, of Cashion, Oklahoma, passed away on December 13, 2024, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Born on January 19, 1940, Dr. Lenhart led a life of service, dedication, and love for both his family and his community.
A lifelong educator and healthcare professional, Dr. Lenhart spent much of his career making a profound impact on the lives of others. After receiving his medical training, he worked as a teacher before transitioning into hospital administration at the prestigious OU Medical Center. His leadership in the medical field left an indellible mark on both his colleagues and patients.
After retirement from the hospital, Dr. Lenhart ran a community mental health center located in four counties. He had a big heart to care and help people who struggled. He also followed his passion for the land and enjoyed farming and ranching with his brother Robert. In this chapter of his life, he found joy in the quiet and fulfilling work of nurturing the land and raising livestock, an endeavor that brought him peace and satisfaction. He loved an Oklahoma sunset during wheat harvest time!
Dr. Lenhart’s family meant the world to him. He is survived by his two children, son Lance C. Lenhart and daughter Lauren C. Lenhart, as well as his beloved siblings, sister Connie Knox and brother Robert M. Lenhart.
Lowell is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert William and Helen Nancy Mason Lenhart.
Dr. Lenhart’s legacy of care, hard work, and love will continue to inspire all who knew him. His children, family, and friends will miss him deeply, but his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those he touched.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to OETA OKC Broadcasting Station Chanel 13 in Dr. Lenhart’s honor.
