Doris Darlene Crowe Koone-July 30, 1940 – May 17, 2018
Doris (Dorie) was born on July 30, 1940 to Kavanaugh and Lois Crowe.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kavanaugh and Lois Crowe, her loving husband of 56 years, Timothy Koone, a sister, Kavanell McKee, a granddaughter, Caitlin Clemons and a great granddaughter, Destiny Swan.
She is survived by her three children, Kim (Russell) Gately of Denver, CO; Lorie Clemons, Oklahoma City, OK; and Darrin (Sheila) Koone, Lewisville, NC; 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 1 sister and 3 brothers. She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and many wonderful lifetime friends.
Dorie grew up in a Christian home and passed that legacy on to her children and grandchildren. Her faith was quiet throughout most of her life, but over the past several years her faith grew deep and strong. She left this earthly home, excited to start her new life with her Lord and a reunion with those who’ve gone before her.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel in Edmond, OK.
A truly sweet woman who with her husband Tim was always ready to help when troubles hit others. I will remember her with love always.
