Donn OrvalMork, son of Palmer and Doris (Kunde) Mork, was born January 19, 1952 in Madison, Minnesota and passed away, Thursday, August 8, 2013, surrounded by loved ones in his home in Calumet, Oklahoma, at the age of 61.
Donn was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Bellingham, Minnesota, and was a Christian man that loved life, his family and friends. He was a 1970 graduate of Madison High School and continued his education in Agricultural Management at Willmar VoTech. Donn’s passion was farming, which he did most of his life, pausing only to pursue a career as a surgical technician for a few years. However, Donn returned to his true love – being behind the wheel of a tractor.
In his spare time Donn also enjoyed hunting and fishing. However, his greatest enjoyment came from his children and grandchildren, and spending time with them.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include three sons, Jeremy Mork and his wife, Pamela, Calumet, Eric Mork and his wife, Ruth, Conway, MO, and Brent Mork and his wife, Leslie, Edmond; his daughter, Chelsea Mork, Stillwater; and his loving grandchildren, Amber, Eric Jr. and Easton Mork. He is also survived by his siblings, Larry Mork and his wife, Eunice, Wayne Mork, Dave Mork and his wife, Cathy, Glenn Mork and his wife, Sherry, Cheryl Klefsaas and her husband, Glen, Charles Mork and his wife, Addie, Marlene Miller and her husband, Mike, Lori Dietmeier and her husband, Martin, Kevin Mork and his wife, Melody; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
The family would like to thank everyone who supported both them, and Donn, during his illness.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions, to benefit the children’s ministry, be made in Donn’s name to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 308 NW 164th St, Edmond, OK 73013 or in care of Matthews Funeral Home.
Services will be held at 3 PM on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church with interment to follow at Mathewson Cemetery, Piedmont.
