Donald K. Giddy

Donald K. Giddy

1942-2015

Giddy, Donald picDonald Kirk Giddy, 72, entered the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at home surrounded by his family after a year-long battle with AML.

Don was a faithful husband to the love of his life, Karen Jorgenson Giddy. He is also survived by their children, Kristi and Tony Brummitt and Julie and Chris Koiner. He was proud “Big Daddy” to his nine grandchildren; Sydney, Jacob, Jaden, Jared, Jewel, Ethan, Jennah, Colin and Jillian; his sisters, Dolores Harbor and Emily Roden; and his sisters-in-law, Linda Horton, Donna Zanowiak, Lorna Williams and her husband, David, and a host of nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

Don was a committed Christian and was characterized by joy, exhortation, integrity, and great love for his family. He enjoyed singing, teaching, vacationing and spending time with family. He was always ready to share the Gospel and pray with friends or strangers when the opportunity presented itself. He was an encourager, always wanting to make people feel good about themselves.

After serving in the USAF, Don spent the majority of his working years at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, May 3rd, at 2:00 pm. at God’s TP (Tabernacle of Praise) at 5801 NW 178th St. in Edmond. “Well done, good and faithful servant”
