Dianne Burgess, 72, of Edmond, Oklahoma was born October 19, 1946 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to C.W. and Sylvia June Winston. Her hobbies were Christmas decorating, fishing, shopping and spending time with her grandkids. She was a member of Waterloo Road Baptist Church. Dianne passed away on April 1, 2019 in Tulsa.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Woodrow Winston; her mother, Sylvia June McCall; and brother, Ira O’Dell McGhee Jr.
Her survivors include her husband Raymond Burgess; Her siblings, Millie Craddick, Timothy and Andrea McGhee, Jon and Stacey McGhee, and Daryl and Lisa McCall. Her children, Tuesday and Cameron Douglas, Merideth and Greg Pollard, Kayla and Steve Mann, and Christie and Gerald Blount. Her seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren, with another one on the way.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 5th from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with family greeting friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Services will be held at Waterloo Road Baptist Church on Saturday, April 6th at 1:00 p.m.
It was a honor to have called Dianne a friend and a sister in Christ. Dianne would have rather taken care of you than to take care of herself. I will some day see see her in heaven. Nancy Durall
It was my honor to meet and work with your mother, even if it was for just a short time. She made me laugh and was such a pleasure to talk with.
I worked with Dianne for several years. She became a close friend and we had many good times together.
