Denise Ann Ramesh

1959-2021

Denise Ann Ramesh, a devoted and loving wife, and mother of four, passed away on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, after a year of battling pancreatic cancer. She was 61 years old.

Denise was born September 9, 1959, in Toul, France to James and Florence (George) Long. Denise grew up moving around the Northeast United States and much of Europe. She graduated from Izmir American High School in Turkey before moving to Oklahoma and pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Central Oklahoma. She worked in contracting at Tinker Air Force Base for almost 37 years. On April 7, 1984, she married Parvis Ramesh. Together they raised three sons, Jonathan, Matthew, and Joseph, and one daughter, Alyson.

She had a passion for cooking, reading, and doing cross fit. Most importantly she had a passion for her family. Whether she was cooking Persian food, Albanian food, or anything in between, her food never failed to bring people together. In her free time, she loved to read anything she could get her hands on. She often exchanged books with her children and her mother. Towards the later years of her life, she developed a passion for working out – specifically for doing cross fit at her nieces, Savannah, and Lilly’s gym. Absolutely no one loved their children as fiercely as Denise loved all four of hers. For 37 years she managed working full-time, cooking almost every night, and being an exceptional mother and wife. Denise had the best laugh, and no one knew how to make her laugh harder than her husband, Parvis. Whether they were on one of their infamous road trips or just on a walk with the dogs, Denise and Parvis fearlessly went through life together.

Denise was preceded in death by her father, James. She is survived by her mother Florence, her husband Parvis, her four children Jonathan, Matthew, Alyson, and Joseph, her brother James, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 25, 2021 at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel Edmond, OK.
