Dempsey ‘Bo’ Condit
1929 – 2015
D.G. “Bo” Condit departed from this world to be face to face with the Lord on October 4, 2015. Bo was surrounded by family and his beloved care givers when he answered the Lord’s call. Bo was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and daily took in His word.
Bo was born on March 18, 1929, in Arkansas City, KS. He graduated from Arkansas City High School in 1947. Bo went to work for the Santa Fe Railroad, then was drafted and fought in the Korean War. When he returned to Ark City after the war, he resumed working for the Santa Fe Railroad and retired after 42 years of service.
Bo married Sharon Kay Walker on March 3rd of 1956 in Arkansas City, KS., where they made their home and had six children. Bo is survived by his wife, Sharon, and their children, Bret, Kerry Bryan, Lesley, Penny and Tracy, 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Bo is preceded in death by his parents, his siblings and his son Josh. Bo and Sharon moved to Edmond, Oklahoma in 2003 to be closer to Penny and Tracy.
Memorial service for Bo will be Saturday October 10, 2015 at 2 pm at Matthews Funeral Home.
