On Thanksgiving Day November 23, 2017 at 2pm Deloris Ruth Dye (Grandma) went to be with her Lord in heaven. She was surrounded by family and friends as she celebrated the holiday at the home of Stephen and Tracy Allen.

Deloris was born on January 22, 1933 in Orbison, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her husband Jake, son Mike, her parents Basil and Vinnie Carsner, along with three brothers, Jack, Danny, Junior, and one sister Bertha. Deloris is survived by her daughter Penny and son-in-law Jim Scalf, of Edmond, Oklahoma; daughter-in-law Terri Dye, and five grandchildren; Jerry, Michael, Lisa, Kaytie of Indiana, and Adam of Peachtree City, Georgia. There are many nieces and nephews as well.

Deloris and her husband able travel and live in many states due to his honorable service in the United States Air Force.

She was a long time member of Quail Springs Baptist Church, proudly belonging to the Adult Two Sunday School class. Deloris loved her church, her pastor, ministers, staff, friends, and her Sunday school class, all of whom she spent many great times with.

Deloris love Thunder basketball and enjoyed watching the games with her dear friend Mary Downs. Other interests included canning, cooking, sewing, crocheting, and gardening. She loved flowers of every kind, color, and fashion. Deloris had a Shiatzu named Molly who were close companions, they went everywhere together.

Deloris was loved by many and will be deeply missed, but we know she is in heavenly peace now, with her Lord and Savior Jesus!

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Quail Springs Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, OK with interment to follow at Gracelawn Cemetery in Edmond, OK.
