Debra “Debi” Deann Snider
1953-2017
Debra (Debi) Deann Snider, age 63, of Edmond, Oklahoma passed away January 5, 2017 at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City from AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia). Debi was born September 5,1953 in Wichita, KS to parents Robert E and Wanda L Graves. She married Charles (Charlie) Snider on May 4, 1974. Together they have one son, Barron Snider, and their dog Jax. She graduated from Topeka High School, then continued her education and received her Associate of Theology degree from The Way International College of Biblical Research.
She worked 20+ years at Summit Middle School cafeteria, and close to 6 years for Infant Crisis Services in Oklahoma City, where she had previously volunteered since 2006. She loved babies, so there for, she loved her job at ICS. She has lived in Sedan, KS, Topeka, KS, Ft Worth, TX, and Edmond, OK. Survived by her husband, Charlie, son Barron Snider, his wife Lisa, granddaughter Ellie, sisters, Janis Chase and husband Jim from Elgin, KS, Micki Fulton and husband Danny from Goodyear, AZ, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Wanda Graves, and a nephew, Kolton Grae Chase. Services will be held at Matthews Funeral Home on Thursday, January 12th, 2017 at 2pm. The address is 601 S. Kelly, Edmond, OK 73003. In Lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorial donations to Infant Crisis Services, where Debi was employed. Their address is 4224 N. Lincoln Boulevard, Oklahoma City, OK 73105. Donations for the 9th floor nursing staff will also be collected on her GoFundMe page and will be used to purchase a gift to be presented by the family.
