David Killian

1940 – 2025

William David Killian passed away on January 1, 2025. He was born on October 11, 1940, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Garland C. Killian and Lacy Pauline Killian (Brock). After Del City High school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Augsburg Germany for two years- where he met the love of his life Luise Ruoff. They married in 1962 at the Good Shepherd Church in Midwest City.

After graduation from OCU in 1967 he entered the Insurance Business. He worked for Travelers Insurance and later was District Manager for Metropolitan Insurance. He founded C.S. Casualty in 1986 and was active in it until his retirement in 2011 at age 70. H was a member of the Men’s Senior Golf at Kickingbird and at the Gold Club of Edmond where he enjoyed having lunch with his Romeo friends (retired old men eating out). David was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Garline Hudacko, and his beloved wife, Luise of 58 years. He is survived by his brother Terry Manees (wife Vickie) and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and many treasured friends.

We would also like to thank the caring staff and his numerous friends at Veraden Senior Living Center for their loving care and friendship.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2024, at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, 825 NE 13th St., Oklahoma City, OK 73104 or any other charity you hold close to your heart.

    Dave was a good golf friend through ups and downs at Coffee Creek Golf Course, Golf Club of Edmond, Silverhorn and Kickingbird. Our “group” is growing smaller but our memories of good time will not diminish.
