David Jay Peters left this world on January 17, 2013. He was born June 23, 1958 in Purcell, Oklahoma and lived in Edmond most of his life. He is survived by his wife Joann (Jo) Peters, his daughter, April May Peters and her fiancée Brian Warner who helped with David’s constant care, a son, David Arthur Peters and his fiancée Danielle Bowen and a step-daughter Cherie Burton all of Edmond. His is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law Melva Peters Ferguson and Larry G. Ferguson of Carrollton, Texas, and his grandchildren Paige Marie Tyson, Dale Jay Peters-Hixon, Destiny Paris Peters, Tiffani Mason, Courtany Sanders, Maelrie Burton, Lynzee Burton, Addriana Warner, Tyler Warner and Taylor Warner. He was preceded in death by his parents Melvin Arthur “Pete” Peters & Maurine Tunstall Peters.
We will always remember you, we love you dad.
I remember many times we were involved with Troop 78 and Boy Scouts.
Godspeed my friend.
We are so sorry to know that David has died.
We remember him as a very young man playing
with his cars. Of course we remember April and
young David staying with Pete and Maureen and
hanging out with Karen and Lynn when they would
let you. Very fond memories of all of you.

May the memories each of you have of David as he ran his own race called life, help to comfort you in the days ahead. He will forever be in the memories the Hutton family has of special people we’ve been fortunate enough to have had in our lives.
David was a gentle soul and he will be missed deeply by the Lampkin family.
My sister and I were sharing fond memories that involved David not long ago, and I am comforted that I will always have these memories of him in my life.
My heart and prayers go out to Jo and family in this time.

David and I were married for 35 years, we had our ups and downs but no matter what we always shared love for each other, for our children, our grandchildren and our friends.
As I told the grandkids, he was so missed by his mom and dad that he went to heaven to join them and to be with Jesus. He will be there waiting with open arms when it is our time to join him.
There will foverve be a hole in my heart that can never be filled. He was a unique and kind soul. There was nothing David could not fix, and he enjoyed a challenge. His friends have been such a godsend to us at this time.
Thank you to everyone who was there fighting this battle with us.
