David F. Zorn
December 24, 1932 – March 30, 2021
David F. Zorn, born December 24, 1932 in Beckville, Texas left this world on March 30, 2021. Prior to becoming a long-term resident of Oklahoma, David attended high school in Odessa, Texas where he met his late wife of sixty-six years, Carrol Anne Diamond. Early in their marriage, they moved between Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma as David followed work in the oil field. In 1953, David was drafted into the Korean War, where he served as an Army Military Policeman until 1955. After his service, David continued work in the oil field, before moving to Oklahoma City in the late sixties, where he began work at the A to Z Rental franchise. After several years of working with A to Z Rental, David and Carrol co-founded Diamond-Zorn Rental with his in-laws, A.A. Diamond and H. Irene Diamond. David and Carrol ran Diamond-Zorn Rental from the early seventies until 2018. In their free time, David and Carrol were avid travelers, and enjoyed camping in their RV. Even more than he loved the outdoors, he cherished time with family. The family would often gather at the family land in Sparks, OK, which is known as, “The Farm”. There Dave enjoyed mowing and grilling for his kids, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He loved to serve you stories with dinner too. In these moments he was never without a smile. Dave’s wit and humor will be sorely missed. David is survived by three children, Stephen M. Zorn, Clayton A. Zorn, Whitney (Zorn) Weeks and numerous grandkids and great grandkids. A memorial service will be held on 10am, April 6, 2021, at Wilshire Church of Christ located at 400 E. Wilshire Blvd, Oklahoma City, Ok.
So sorry to hear of your father’s passing. Prayer go out to all of the family.
