Craig Collins, 60, was born February 8, 1959 in Junction City, Kansas and passed away September 7, 2019. Craig spent his youth helping on the family farm located southeast of Junction City. He graduated from Junction City High School in 1977and Kansas State University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 1981. He began working at Central National Bank in Junction City his senior year of high school and continued there for many years.

Craig moved to Oklahoma City where he met and married his wife, Celia Good and made their home in Edmond, OK. Craig was employed as auditor for Oklahoma’s Credit Union. Through the years Craig enjoyed participating in the KSU marching band, Beta Theta Pi fraternity, the Junction City and Edmond community bands, bell choirs, square dancing and many Kansas State games and watch parties.

Survivors include Craig’s wife, Celia, parents Jack and Polly Collins, brother Charles Collins (Sheree), sister Sue Ann Funk (Steve) , mother in law Marilyn Good, sister in law Jan Polhemus (David) and many cherished nieces and nephews.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the kindness, love and support received from Craig’s family and friends. He very much appreciated your encouragement and always being there for him.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 10, 12:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Matthews Funeral Home, 601 S. Kelly, Edmond, OK. The funeral service will be Wednesday, September 11, 2:00 p.m at First Presbyterian Church, 1001 S. Rankin, Edmond, OK. Interment following at Summit View cemetery, Guthrie, OK

  2. I am sorry to hear of Craig’s passing. He was in my clarinet section in the Kansas State Marching Band. Yes, we went to London with that band in May 1980, and made many memories. He was always a person that you could count on to get the job done – especially with his love of music. God bless his family and friends who miss him the most. Cherish all the memories that you have.
