Connie C. Chitwood
1941-2025
Connie Christyne Chitwood, age 83, passed away in Edmond, Oklahoma on April 30, 2025. Connie was born in El Reno, OK, to Roy and Oddest Moyer.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister and brother-in-law Arlone and Charles Young as well as sons Kenneth Roy Moyer and James Brent Chitwood.
Her military service spanned twenty-one years including 7 years in the Army National Guard (45th Infantry) and retiring as Lead Accounting Technician.
Connie cherished the accomplishments of her many nieces and nephews, prayed ardently for her family, trusted in Jesus for everything, and enjoyed reading, crocheting, Star Wars and Star Trek, and reunions with friends.
Public Visitation will be held on Monday, May 5th from 10:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel with interment at El Reno Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 9, 2025.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, www.t2t.org.
I am shocked. Have known Connie since childhood and graduated with her from EHS in 1959. She was a wonderful friend and an all around good person. She will be sorely missed. Rest in peace friend. 🤗💞
