Conner James Bostic

March 28, 2005 – May 13, 2023

Conner James Bostic, beloved son, brother, grandson, cousin, and friend passed away unexpectedly, early morning May 13, 2023, at the age of 18.  Conner, the youngest son born to James and Kalen Bostic of Edmond, was a good-natured, diligent, organized and gifted young man who set lofty goals and high standards for himself. He was a Valedictorian from Edmond North High School and had graduated earlier this month.  He was also a concurrent student at Oklahoma City Community College and had been accepted into the University of Oklahoma -College of Aviation for the upcoming fall semester.

Conner was passionate about his health and fitness.  He enjoyed working out regularly, longboarding, cooking, skiing, snowboarding, turning backflips with his brother and twin cousins, and assisting his grandparents with yard work. Video gaming with his family and friends was a favorite past time. He took pleasure in trying new activities and had a talent for teaching himself to do things which captured his interest, such as learning to play guitar (like his father) and sing (like his mother). Most recently, Conner’s sense of adventure led him to celebrate his 18th birthday with a 14,000-foot tandem skydive. He will be remembered for his sweet spirit, outstanding moral character, radiant smile, conscientious work ethic, and deep love for his family and friends. Our world and lives are tremendously broken by his absence.

Conner was preceded in death by his adoring father, James Bostic, and is survived by his mother, Kalen Bostic Dawson, stepfather Matt Dawson, brother Jaden Bostic, stepbrother Logan Dawson, and stepsister Morgan Dawson of Edmond, paternal grandparents Bud and Marlene Bostic of Mustang, maternal grandparents Paul and Karen Green of Edmond, step-grandmother DeEsta Dawson of Edmond, and numerous beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Services will be handled by Matthews Funeral Home, 601 South Kelly Avenue in Edmond, where visitation will be held from 3:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday, May 18th.  Memorial service will take place at 10:00am on Friday, May 19th.  His final resting place will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Oklahoma City, next to his father.

I am honored that I knew this loving and gentle boy. The world is darker without him in it. Goodnight, sweet boy and flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.

Such a beautiful remembrance of a tremendous young man taken far too soon. May he be reunited with his father and watch over his mother and brother during this dark, confusing time. Much Love to the family. You are in my thoughts for healing and comfort.
