Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free.
I’m following the path God laid for me.
I took his hand when I heard him call.
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day.
To laugh, to love, to work or play.
Task left undone must stay that way.
I found that peace at close of day.
If my parting has left a void
Then fill it with remembered joy.
    A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss
Ah yes, these things I too shall miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life’s been full, I’ve savored much
Good friends, good times, a loved ones touch
Perhaps my time seemed all to brief.
Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief
Lift up your hearts and share with me
God wanted me now…he set me free

At a time like this, one song comes to mind, “you were always on my mind.” And yes, it’s meant to be a love song, however, the overall message applies to any relationship that could have been better. There’s no more “what ifs” now. Those questions are irrelevant at this point.
I would be a hypocrite if I said we were the best of friends and had a close relationship. However, I will say this. I always respected him and looked up to him in many ways. He was old-school and a man’s man. He always seemed strong willed, one of few words, and someone who would do whatever it took to help his family.
I’m sad that he’s gone but happy he’s no longer in pain. Enjoy a peaceful eternity. You deserve it.
    Sincerely,
    Claude Cundiff,
    Claudine Cundiff

    Bev & Shari:

Sorry to hear of your loss. I remember Cliff with a smile on his face, coming in on Thursday or Friday with his receipts in hand from his week out of town. He was a neat guy and I am sure he is going to be missed greatly. The great memories will always be there for you. He will pop into your thoughts at unexpected times. Something you see will trigger a happy memory.
I lost my Dad 6 months ago and I still miss him. But the good memories are a blessing.
    Thoughts & Prayers,
    Cheryl Slater
